About the Role:
We’re currently recruiting a Cyber Security Engineer on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking organisation based in Manchester. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site, and is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity and strong hands-on expertise with Splunk.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and respond to security incidents using Splunk and other SIEM tools

Conduct threat detection, analysis, and incident response

Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures across infrastructure

Work with internal teams to assess vulnerabilities and implement appropriate fixes

Assist in maintaining compliance with industry standards and supporting security audits
Key Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cybersecurity role

Strong knowledge of security principles, tools, and best practices

Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring and analysis

Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions

Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
