Frontier Fridays
Building Manchester’s frontier tech micro-ecosystem, where capital, product insight and customers are one conversation away.
Frontier Fridays started as a simple idea: bring serious builders together in one room to work, think and share openly. No panels. No pitch stage. No forced networking. What has emerged is something much more powerful.
Hosted at the Maxwell Bond office, Frontier Fridays has quickly evolved into a high-trust, low-ego ecosystem for founders, operators and investors across AI, robotics, blockchain, cyber, data infrastructure and global SaaS. Within weeks of launching, attendance tripled in size, with 35+ founders and senior leaders regularly spending the day working side by side, sharing live challenges and accelerating decisions.
It doesn’t feel like an event. It feels like momentum.
What Frontier Fridays Actually Is
Frontier Fridays is part co-working day, part strategy lab, part capital connector. Builders bring real problems into the room (fundraising positioning, AI deployment friction, product-market fit questions, GTM expansion dilemmas) and leave with sharper thinking and tangible next steps.
The format is deliberately unstructured. Conversations happen organically. A robotics founder might be deep in discussion with a data centre operator. An AI start-up refining governance strategy might be challenged by a legal tech operator who has navigated similar scrutiny. Angels sit close enough to product to understand what’s genuinely differentiated.
As one attendee put it: “It’s builders talking to builders, not pitching to each other.”
That distinction matters.
