Senior Product Manager
- £90,000 - £105,000
- King's Cross
We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to own one capability area of Descrial. You'll set its direction and roadmap, then work with the people who build it and the people who use it to turn that direction into a product that helps them.
You'll take the work from discovery through specification, build and iteration. You'll stay close to investment professionals throughout and work with the commercial team as they take it to market.
About Descrial
Descrial is a startup inside a twenty-year-old company
TresVista has run the analytical work behind private capital since 2006. 2,000 people, 400+ clients including some of the biggest names in the industry, no outside capital and no outside board. That was the first chapter. And we enjoyed getting here!
The next chapter is harder and more interesting
We are moving from services to software, from one firm's workflows to an industry's, and from executing investment decisions to shaping how they get made. Thirty of us in King's Cross, small and senior, with day one founder intensity. At its fullest expression, Descrial changes how every serious investment firm decides.
The role
You report to the Head of Product Management and work daily with designers, London engineers and the Bengaluru delivery organisation. You own strategy and delivery for your area, with evidence behind priorities and a clear view of how it contributes to the wider platform.
Your remit
The direction
You define where your capability area is going, what it will and will not do, and why. You defend prioritisation with evidence and maintain a tagged, traceable backlog engineering can trust. You contribute your area's choices to the wider roadmap with the Head of Product Management.
The delivery
You break complex capabilities into epics, features and user stories at the right level, refining them with Design and Engineering. You run backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria and release governance, staying in the loop across build, test and release in both locations.
The data and AI quality
You own product decisions for APIs, integrations and machine-delivery services: how data reaches the platform and how clients connect to it. With Engineering, you define golden examples, evaluation criteria and regression expectations for LLM features. You manage hallucination risk, output expectations and what users must be able to verify, balancing capability against latency and token cost.
The customer and market
You run structured discovery and validation with investment-domain users and understand how competitors address the same problems. With Commercial, Marketing and Operations, you contribute positioning, release notes and internal enablement for go-to-market.
Your experience
- You have 6–9 years working as a Product Manager, in dedicated product management roles rather than adjacent business-analysis or product-analyst positions.
- You have owned a dedicated product area's roadmap end to end in a B2B or enterprise setting.
- You have product management experience in financial services. Asset management or private markets is a distinct advantage.
- You can break complex capabilities into epics, features and user stories, refining them with Design and Engineering.
- You are experienced in agile product management and comfortable with APIs, integrations and machine-delivery services.
- You have working fluency with RAG, agents, evaluations and prompt/structured-output patterns.
- You have a degree in engineering, computer science, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Useful to have, none required
- Leading or mentoring product managers; supporting junior PMs is likely to become a larger part of this role
- An agile certification
- Go-to-market work with Commercial, Marketing and Operations
- Multi-tenant enterprise platforms and permissioned data
The reality
This will be difficult.
It demands pace and accuracy. We are building autonomous systems inside high-stakes live businesses, where decisions carry real consequences and impact and waiting for everyone to agree is not always an option. The systems will sometimes get things wrong. In this phase the London team needs to create the evaluations, visibilities and safeguards that catch mistakes early, reducing them over time and stopping the same failures happening again.
If you want to build the foundations of an enterprise grade technology platform to service a multi-billion $ serviceable market opportunity, and share in that growth, this is your chance to join us.
In our conversations
Come ready to discuss three pieces of work:
- A product area whose roadmap you owned: the choices, evidence and business result.
- A complex capability you broke into requirements the team could ship.
- An AI or integration-quality decision: the user expectations, evaluation and trade-offs.
Compensation
- The all-inclusive package is typically £85,000–£105,000 a year, depending on experience. We may go beyond this in exceptional cases.
Practical details
- King's Cross, London. In office (3 to 5 days a week), with colleagues in London and Bengaluru.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- We aim to finish the process within three weeks. Tell us if you need an adjustment to the interviews.
- Descrial is an equal opportunity employer.
