Account Director – Public Sector (Scotland)
? Scotland (Hybrid – 2/3 days per week in Glasgow office)
? £70,000–£90,000 basic + £40,000–£45,000 OTE (Uncapped)
We are partnering with a leading cybersecurity consultancy to appoint an experienced Account Director to drive public sector growth across Scotland.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role focused on developing and expanding strategic relationships within Scottish public sector organisations. The successful candidate will combine deep cybersecurity sales experience with strong knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks and buying cycles.
The Role
As Account Director, you will:

Lead business development and account growth across Scottish public sector bodies

Build and maintain C-level and senior stakeholder relationships

Identify, qualify, and close new cybersecurity consulting engagements

Navigate public sector procurement frameworks and tender processes

Develop account plans and execute targeted sales strategies

Collaborate closely with technical consultants and delivery teams

Own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation and close

Accurately forecast revenue and maintain CRM hygiene

Represent the business at industry events and within relevant public sector networks
Key Requirements

Proven track record in cybersecurity sales (consultancy, managed services, or vendor environment)

Demonstrable experience selling into the Scottish public sector

Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and frameworks

Experience closing complex, consultative sales engagements

Ability to build trusted advisor relationships at senior levels

Self-sufficient, strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen

Based in Scotland and able to commute to Glasgow 2–3 days per week
