Account Manager
Manchester | Hybrid | £38,000 to £40,000 - £50,500 to £54,000 total OTE

We’re working with a well-established EdTech and e-learning business that provides technology-led learning and development solutions to organisations across the UK.

The business works with a wide range of public sector and commercial organisations, helping them deliver training, development and learning programmes through innovative digital solutions. With a strong existing customer base, this role is focused on building long-term client relationships, growing existing accounts and identifying new opportunities within those accounts, rather than high-volume new business.

The Manchester team has an experienced leadership group and a strong reputation for developing people. The culture is collaborative, energetic and performance-focused, with plenty of opportunities to progress your career.

The Role

We’re looking for an Account Manager to manage and grow an existing portfolio of B2B customers.

You’ll build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and re-engage customers who have become inactive.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a portfolio of existing B2B clients
  • Building long-term relationships with key stakeholders
  • Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Re-engaging dormant customers
  • Taking a consultative approach to understanding client needs
  • Working closely with internal teams to deliver a strong customer experience
  • Managing your accounts commercially and working towards revenue targets

What we’re looking for

  • Previous B2B account management or consultative sales experience
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Confident speaking with a range of stakeholders
  • Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working towards targets
  • Coachable and keen to develop your career

Public sector experience would be a strong advantage, particularly experience working with councils/local authorities, NHS, blue-light services, higher education or wider government organisations. However, this isn't essential.

Why join?

  • Up to £40,000 basic + OTE
  • Manchester based, Hybrid setup
  • Strong career development and progression opportunities
  • Experienced and supportive leadership team
  • Great team culture and a genuinely positive atmosphere
  • Regular incentives and rewards, including trips to destinations such as Las Vegas and LA
  • Structured coaching and development
  • Clear opportunities to progress within the business
  • A collaborative environment where success is recognised and rewarded

This is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing existing accounts and finding commercial opportunities, rather than working in a purely new-business or high-volume sales environment.
