We're partnering with an established UK organisation embarking on a significant technology transformation and are looking for an experienced Contract Full Stack Software Engineer to help modernise and rebuild several business-critical applications.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will:

• Develop and enhance backend services using Go (Golang)

• Build and maintain modern front-end applications using React and TypeScript

• Design, build and consume REST APIs and GraphQL services

• Work with PostgreSQL databases and modern backend architectures

• Deploy and maintain applications within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment

• Support infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Terraform and Google Cloud Build

• Investigate and resolve technical issues while improving the reliability and performance of existing applications

• Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions

• Contribute to architectural decisions and the ongoing evolution of the platform

We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with:

• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang)

• Excellent React and TypeScript development skills

• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs

• Commercial experience with GraphQL and REST APIs

• Strong SQL database experience, ideally PostgreSQL

• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS

• Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders

• Experience modernising legacy systems or working within digital transformation programmes would be advantageous
