Are you a Senior Full Stack Engineer ready to take the next step into leadership?
This is a great opportunity for someone who already operates as a technical go-to person in their team and is now looking to step into a genuine Tech Lead role. You’ll remain hands-on with development while taking ownership of a small engineering team, influencing technical direction and helping shape how software is delivered across the business.
The role sits within a well-established digital and engineering function, working on modern web and mobile applications used at scale.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and mentoring a small team of developers
- Remaining hands-on across full stack development
- Providing technical direction, code reviews and engineering best practice
- Delivering and enhancing web and mobile applications
- Collaborating with architecture, infrastructure and wider digital teams
- Supporting continuous improvement of engineering standards and delivery
This is not a purely managerial role - it’s ideal for a strong Senior Engineer who still enjoys coding but wants more ownership, responsibility and influence.
What They’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with React, NodeJS and MongoDB
- Exposure to React Native (or mobile development experience)
- Proven background as a Full Stack Engineer
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior/mid-level engineers
- Natural leadership ability within technical teams
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Formal line management experience is not essential - the key requirement is technical credibility combined with the ability to support and guide others.
