Lead Developer – Cheshire – Hybrid – up to £70,000

A growing Cheshire based business is hiring a Lead Developer to manage a team of four engineers. The role focuses on people leadership, team performance, and delivery ownership, not heavy hands-on coding.

You will lead day to day engineering activity, support developer development, and work closely with the Engineering Manager. You will set standards across delivery, improve output, and help shape how the team works as the business scales. You will act as the link between engineering execution and leadership direction, keeping work flowing and removing blockers.

Work covers greenfield builds and legacy system improvements. Expect a 70/30 split, leadership first with some hands-on involvement when required.

The tech stack includes .NET, C#, Azure.

You will need experience leading small engineering teams, strong communication skills, and a clear focus on delivery and people development. You will take ownership of priorities, support technical decisions, and help build a high performing engineering culture.

The role is hybrid, two days per week in the Cheshire office, rest remote. Salary sits up to £70,000, open to conversation for the right person.
