Staff MLOps Engineer

We’ve partnered with a fast?growing, Private Equity–backed SaaS company based in Central London that’s building the next generation of AI infrastructure to support intelligent products and ML systems at scale.

They’re looking for an experienced Staff MLOps / AI Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build, and operate the infrastructure that supports training, deployment, monitoring, and scaling of AI models across the organisation’s portfolio of products. This is a high?impact role within a new AI platforms squad, working with modern toolchains across cloud environments, LLMOps ecosystems, and DevOps?centric engineering practises.

What you’ll be doing

As their Staff MLOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building and owning core AI/ML infrastructure, ensuring models and systems operate reliably and efficiently in production:

  • Design and maintain end-to-end MLOps systems for training, deployment, and monitoring
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for ML model lifecycle automation
  • Collaborate with AI/ML, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure
  • Implement observability and monitoring for model performance, reliability, and data drift
  • Manage cloud and container infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, serverless)
  • Define infrastructure standards and best practices, with clear documentation
  • Mentor engineers on MLOps and DevOps tools, workflows, and practices

What they're looking for

  • Strong experience in MLOps, AI infrastructure, or DevOps for ML systems
  • Skilled in Python, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and container orchestration
  • Experience with ML frameworks and tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or similar)
  • Passion for building scalable, reliable, production ML systems
