Maxwell Bond have partnered with a growing Digital Technology Consultancy who are looking for a Technical Consultant to join their digital team on a permanent basis.
You'll work alongside the Digital team consisting of Service Designers and Digital Consultants, helping clients understand their current technology landscape, define technical requirements and explore the right technology solutions for their needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or someone with a strong technical background looking to move into a more consultative role, with less focus on hands-on coding and more involvement in discovery, technical analysis and solution design.
What you'll do as Technical Consultant:
- Analyse existing technology landscapes, systems, integrations and data flows, identifying technical requirements, dependencies and data quality considerations.
- Support and lead technical workshops, defining non-functional requirements around areas such as cybersecurity, integration, performance and scalability.
- Assess different technology approaches, from bespoke development and off-the-shelf software through to hybrid and low-code solutions, producing clear technical documentation and high-level designs.
What We're Looking for:
- A strong technical background gained through software development, solution architecture, technical business analysis, technical consultancy or a similar role, with a good understanding of modern technology environments.
- Experience working with systems, APIs, integrations and data, including data mapping, data quality and integration with third-party or legacy systems, alongside the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Strong communication and workshop skills, with the confidence to work directly with clients, challenge assumptions and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Microsoft experience across .NET, Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics, Power BI or Fabric would be a bonus.
