I’ve been working with this client for a number of years across their European hubs, and they have recently opened up a new Tech function in Coimbra where they have grown from 0–200 tech and engineering staff in a short period of time, and due to this growth, are looking for MULTIPLE Tech Leads to drive a number of major product development projects across squads.

As their Tech Lead, you will be working closely with the wider product, engineering and architecture teams to develop scalable, cloud-native applications and platforms used globally.

Key Responsibilities as their Tech Lead:

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications using AWS serverless architecture
  • Write high-quality code with TypeScript and Node.js, solving complex engineering challenges
  • Build and deliver web and mobile solutions using React and React Native (or similar)
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Architecture teams on key initiatives
  • Champion DevOps best practices including CI/CD and infrastructure as code
  • Drive engineering excellence through TDD/BDD, clean code, and automated testing
  • Provide technical direction, guiding architecture and best practices across the team
