Pricing Data Scientist
Location: UK, Remote First
Salary up to £70,000, depending on experience


We are working with a growing insurance business who are looking for a highly analytical Pricing Data Scientist to join a growing data and analytics Pricing Team. You will use statistical analysis, data science and modelling to support pricing decisions across the business.
The role suits someone with a strong mathematical or statistical background who enjoys solving commercial problems through data.

What you will be doing as their Pricing Data Scientist:
  • Analyse pricing and insurance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop statistical and predictive models to support pricing decisions.
  • Analyse the impact of pricing changes.
  • Support pricing and underwriting teams with data-driven insight.
  • Build and improve data science models using Python.
  • Work with large datasets and translate analysis into commercial recommendations.
  • Support model development, testing and validation.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the wider data, pricing and underwriting teams.

What we are looking for:
  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Strong statistical and analytical ability, with experience with statistical modelling
  • Pricing experience, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Actuarial experience or progress towards actuarial exams would be highly relevant.
  • Someone who thinks analytically and
  • Strong mathematics and statistic skills.
  • Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively.

The team are remote first; however, you will still meet in person for workshops, training, team meetings and company-wide events when required. These sessions will typically take place around once to twice a month, depending on business requirements.
Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered where office attendance requires travel.

Salary up to £70,000, 28 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (36 total), 4pm finish on Fridays, annual training budget and clear progression opportunities, + much more!
