We are working with a growing insurance business who are looking for a highly analytical Pricing Data Scientist to join a growing data and analytics Pricing Team. You will use statistical analysis, data science and modelling to support pricing decisions across the business.
The role suits someone with a strong mathematical or statistical background who enjoys solving commercial problems through data.
What you will be doing as their Pricing Data Scientist:
- Analyse pricing and insurance data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop statistical and predictive models to support pricing decisions.
- Analyse the impact of pricing changes.
- Support pricing and underwriting teams with data-driven insight.
- Build and improve data science models using Python.
- Work with large datasets and translate analysis into commercial recommendations.
- Support model development, testing and validation.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with the wider data, pricing and underwriting teams.
What we are looking for:
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Strong statistical and analytical ability, with experience with statistical modelling
- Pricing experience, ideally within insurance or financial services.
- Actuarial experience or progress towards actuarial exams would be highly relevant.
- Someone who thinks analytically and
- Strong mathematics and statistic skills.
- Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Enjoys working collaboratively.
The team are remote first; however, you will still meet in person for workshops, training, team meetings and company-wide events when required. These sessions will typically take place around once to twice a month, depending on business requirements.
Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered where office attendance requires travel.
Salary up to £70,000, 28 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (36 total), 4pm finish on Fridays, annual training budget and clear progression opportunities, + much more!
